We recently took a little vaca to Bainbridge Island.

We found a perfect place for relaxing and catching up with friends.

Paul's friend, Dale.  You all know Dale and Vada.  They have 2 great kids, Josh and Jessica.  Jessica is getting married July 28th. We will be honored to attend the wedding.

Dean, a friend from college days.  He is also a dad to 2 great kids, Brooks and Christina, also not pictured.

So we see Sheila on the left, she has 3 lovely daughters.  She is also a friend from Paul's college days in Canada and recently married to Dean.  I am so glad for Paul's friends because they are now mine.  My friends, I should say.  Totally honored to call them friends!!

This rental on Bainbridge had excellent views.  Can you tell?

We loved just gazing out at the view.

That is Seattle in background. Magnolia to the right and Shilshole to the left.

We will do a repeat of this weekend.
Happy Anniversary, Pepe'.

February and March Wrap Up

Stan and Gail were on their way to Levanworth and stopped at our house for a little layover.  Gunnar and his Grandpa Stan are very tight buddies.  They got to read their favorite stories and hang.  Gunnar got to go with his Grandpa Stan and ride the train up the mountain pass to Levanworth.

The next morning, I rode with Armando and Emily in Armando's AWD up to Levanworth.  We found lots of the white stuff.

And after a cold, wet March, the best way to remedy that is to find a tropical paradise.

The view from our room.  What you don't hear is the crashing of the waves.

And to the other side of the Palm tree is the shore.  You see the edge of our balcony, or lanai.
This is Wailua Bay on Kauai.

We found this little restaurant.  It had good reviews and we had to have a little happy hour.

We sat by this little waterfall.

This is secret beach and the tunnels.  The surf was up, the water was very rough and I was terrified.

I had some time to myself while Paul was still on Maui.  I went to visit the Tropical Botanical Gardens.  Not everyone likes visiting gardens.  I enjoyed it and these trees were pretty cool to see.

Well, I had a nice visit.  See ya.

Gunnar Cowboy

"I am taming a wild stallion."

"I wonder of they see how good I am at controlling this wild animal?"

"Whoa, I see a rattlesnake."

"Don't worry, Flicka, I got'er"

Grandma Lori needs to take the little Cowboy out for more trips to Fred Meyer...er...the rodeo.

Weekly Wrap Up

This is our Valentine's Dinner.  This is, left to right, Paul, Amy, Gunnar, Dave, Victoria, Hannah, Jose, Me & Emily.
We decided to go to a local pub where they serve all-you-can-eat crab legs.  By the time we ordered and waited, and waited, we found out the crab was gone.  So, we all received drinks on the house.  It was great to get together with my cousin Victoria and her husband, Dave.  And to have a dinner with a few of our kids, not to mention our all-star, Gunnar.

Dave and Victoria

We started to chat with the man behind Amy, on the right.  He is a Master Diver.  He and Amy got to chatting about diving.

Hannah and Jose.

Gunnar loves Dale.  He bonds with Dale over chips.
Dale and Vada stopped by last night and we had dinner and watche a movie.

And I had to show a picture of Gunnar's newest favorite toy. I found this at a great little hobby shop in Oregon.  It is a place that sells vintage hobby stuff.  We loved the Fisher Price toys for our kids when they were little and even new little ones love Fisher Price and the Little People.

That's All Folks!
