This is a repost from January 2007. The cookie dough was made by Rachel while she was in her 3rd year of college, but first year at a university in Seattle. It was a huge batch of dough. It sat on her lap on the drive to school. By the time we got her school, there was a big dent in the amount of dough. I think she enjoyed nibbling on it on the short drive. She made this dough for her friends at school.
I am missing Rachel...
This is a place we used to live in Oregon. This is Cal while on a mid-tour break from Iraq. He stopped to visit a very close buddy, Andre'. This dog is a Malmute. He had piercing ice blue eyes. The dog actually belonged to our next door neighbors. He was very protective of his territory and didn't mind letting us know we were encroaching his territory. However, Andre' loved Cal. You can tell, that even though Cal and Andre' had not seen each other in a few years, Andre' felt a connection to Cal.
I wanted you to see this picture. This was painted by a very close friend. She has a beautiful talent for artistry and gave this to me as a gift. I keep it up on my living room wall as a reminder of this friend and the family that was as close to me as my own family.
This is my niece and nephew who have found a "friend." I think this friend is a relunctant friend. He is looking for way outta here.
Thank you for looking at a 2 year old re-post.
Have a happy weekend, everybody!!

I love these pictures. I need to do something for Hannah's birthday when i get back. Tell her Happy birthday because I will be on the Kelly Again. I was just telling someone down here abut Andre. That was a dog, more like a beast creature. Oh, by the way, if you or dad get a gmail account we can do instant messaging. You and dad could even share one. Then I could talk to you when I am on the boat. Its pretty snazzy. And its a better email on the boat for me because it is very quick to up load.
The package you sent was awesome. I love it. I alsop saw Johnnah's thing for Aurora, or Matts thing anyway. She looks exactly like Johnnah, which is odd since she is only a month old. My favorite picture is the one of uncle Jeff holding her and she is in stripes and he is in overwhelming plaid. It represents the personalities well I think. Love you
Amy
