Winnebago 1972

We have a "suite" at our house now. It is a 1972 Winnebago. It actually drives, but we won't be driving it anywhere. When Cal comes home, he'll have a bachelor pad to hang out in until he decides he needs his own place. Amy can share this with him. Basically, it's a "when the kids come home" crash pad.
Paul did all the hard work, in his "spare" time. I call him my clydesdale on amphetamines because he works so hard and finishes everything so fast. Hitting his head and smashing his fingers is always par for the course. I think Paul can qualify for Traumatic Brain Injury.
Paul has transformed every inch of this, including the bathroom. All the plumbing in here is new.

He built the structure for housing the 'fridge and toaster/oven on the left, not to mention the little side table on the right.
This is the front end with the curtians closed

Here is the the opposite end. He also built the frame for the bed, replaced the formica, floor, painted the cupboards and installed the lights.

He also replaced the plumbing and faucets. You can see the front end although a little blurry here, curtians are opened. The passenger seat is turned facing the back. Paul bought replacement covers for the seats.

We chose not to replace the stove and oven, instead we have a hot plate and toaster/oven.
I made all the curtians and used lots of elbow grease to clean, clean, clean. This little cutie was an abandonded vehicle at the local Wal-Mart. The party we purchased it from was anxious to get it off their hands and sold it to us for a very, very good price.
I'll post the before pictures when we get them. There was mistake at the developers and they gave us a cd full of someone else's pictures. I hope they can find our cd.

Hi Lori,
Thanks for stopping by. Looking through your blog I see that you have a son in the Army...I had two sons who served and one was with the 82nd Airborne. I enjoyed visiting your blog and I too will be back to visit.

Hi Lori!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment! I look forward to reading more of your posts!

That is such a good idea to have that available for your kids when they come to visit. Sounds like your husband is very handy! Mine is too and it such a blessing having him that way.

In Him,
Brittany
