A Special Day

This is a special day. My mom, on the far left, is having a birthday today.
Happy Birthday Mom!!
Another event happens today. Calvin flies home, FOR GOOD. His active duty is up. He has served 2 tours, one for 12 months, the other for 14 months. He has made his parents, grandparents, sisters, family and friends very proud. He has lived on base, in Ft. Campbell, KY while state side, as part of the 101st Airborne. As of today, his home will be in Washington state, with us. He is only 22 years old and our eldest.
Here he is with 3 of his 4 grandparents.

Here is my mom as a baby. I love the little ducky she is holding.

Here I am with both my parents. I'd say mom is going for the Jackie Kennedy look here.

Here is mom with her mom, who is between my father and mother-in-law.

Here is my mom on the left with 2 of my daughters and my sister.

This is a clip of Ingrid Berman winning her oscar from 1945, the year my mom was born. Two classy ladies, my mom and Ms Bergman.

I know what your feeling right now...Your so proud of them on one hand and relieved on the other. Our two sons are both out but the older one re-inlisted in the Reserves for 2 more years.
Happy Birthday to your mom.
