Summer Vacation

It is a lovely, beautiful summer here in the Puget Sound of Washington. I am taking a break from blogging. I wanted to post one of my favorite posts. This is from about a year ago. It was Father's Day last year and the Prince Charming was out of town working. We missed him and decided to enjoy the sun we seldom see here in the Pacific Northwest. 3 of my 4 daughters and I spent the day in my favorite neighborhood of Seattle, Queen Anne Hill. I grew up in this gorgeous neighborhood. I love to return to it and enjoy the scenery and love bringing my children. They seem to enjoy the neighborhood almost as much as I do.

The neighborhood is full of hidden little stairways, alleys and parks. This stairway is around 100 years old.

The cornerstone of this neighborhood is the architecture. This brick building was used as a hospital many years ago and now is a gorgeous retirment facility.

Scenery I love the most!!!!!!

You can see, kind of because I don't have photoshop and I am not a good picture taker, the cobblestone street.

This is the view behind me from the previous picture.

The only thing that would improve this picture is adding my oldest 2 children. One was serving in Iraq-he is out of the Army now-sweet. And one was working in the Gulf of Mexico. She is now married, expecting a baby and living 10 minutes from home. Wow!!! What a difference a year makes.
Mt. Rainier is hovering in the background.

Elliott Bay.

Skipping down Queen Anne Hill :)

View of Seattle.
When I return to my blog, I will show you what I have been doing this summer. Here is a list of my plans.
Trips to Oregon
Home improvement projects
Relaxing in the sun.
Time spent with my husband and family.
See you again in September :)
Thanks, Lori
