Step into my lavatory.
I wanted to show you the little decorations in my bathroom. I am a minamalist, so I don't have much in here, but I love what I used in here. Much of it was found just last weekend after some garage sale shopping.
I have to mention, I worked pretty hard on the door. I have a lovely burn on my arm from it. We used a heat gun to strip the heavy layers of old paint and I leaned against the gun, not seeing how close it was to me. Ouch! I'd show you the burn, but its pretty nasty.
Paul and Emily worked just has hard as I did. We completely stripped, sanded, primed and painted this 100 year old door. It actually improves the look not only of the bathroom but the the house. It feels restored to its original look and feel.
The cabinet is the favorite in the room and since you've seen it before, I won't say more about it, but I found the cute little lamp at a garage sale last weekend. I love it! At three bucks, it's a steal. I was also lucky enough to find some great grain sack cloths on ebay. I think this one looks sweet hanging on the bar.
I have always had a fondness for blue and white decorating. Well, this was a Dollar Tree find. A buck is a good price for something pretty.
