Gunnar's Weekend Update

Thank you to all those that have said prayers for Gunnar. He is visibly comforted by all the prayers. The nurses constantly remark how even tempered he is. They see many babies with gastroscisis and this condition can leave babies sometimes unhappy because they want to eat, and can't. Gunnar seldom lets out any cries. He is very content and sleeps lots.
He is fed with an IV. He is given nutrients and lipids. He also has a tube going into his stomach to remove bile. His surgery is still planned for Monday and we continue to welcome prayers.

You can see below that gravity continues to help all the organs settle down into his abdomen. Swelling continues to receed. More answered prayers.
Gunnar's 4 lb 9 oz little body is made up of mostly feet and hands. Look at these skis!

Those toes look sweet enough to kiss.
