Our San Juan Retreat

I had an idea.

I wanted to take my daughters on a trip.

These

goofy

girls.

We traveled past many islands.

Played games

Teased.

And arrived here.

This a B&B on San Juan Island, Harrison House & Tucker House.

The flowers and arbor were welcoming.  Not to mention the innskeeper greeted us and led us down a lovely path to our room.

We listened to this peaceful waterfall outside our window.

We found our room.

I was pleased we had a kitchenette.

Our innskeeper left these in our fridge to enjoy.

I loved the bottles.

I loved this dining set.

Emily loved the pedestal bed.

I loved the window and nautical wheel.

We all piled on the bed and watched the movie, Fairy Tale, A True Story.  We ate popcorn in bed.

A comfy daybed with feathertop and an antique secretary desk.

Hannah found the robe, tea pot and microwave popcorn too much to resist.

We loved the fresh orange juice and pretty little glasses before we broke one.

The next morning the innskeeper brought this sumptuous breakfast to our room!  Can you even believe this?   I couldn't.
We were presented with the most delightful treats.   Walnut cake with whipped cream, a southwest scramble, roasted grapefruit, homemade granola, and a warm fruit compote.

Sorry about the dark horrible picture.

Loved the view.

This was a relaxing time of resting and hanging with my girls.  We all need time to get away and play.  We loved our time so much, we have all commited to come here again.

Thank you, Emily and Hannah for a splendid time.

I love you.

Wow Lori that looks like so much fun! You do such a terrific job with your blog. You should think about putting together a book. I can visualize something like "Adventures in Andersonville."

I didn't go to Friday Harbor this Friday. Marianne and I did go on that last trip when we stayed at your house though.

I would really love a copy of that photo of you and Hannah in the kitchen. Are you going to post these on FB?
