It's Nearly Finished!

The bathroom is nearly finished and here is a sneak peak. We have some details to do yet, I mean Paul has some details. You can see the bead board ceiling and crown molding here.

You can make out the lines of the bead board wall behind the tub.

This piece is one my favorites. Paul found this in a consignment shop. A very old cabinet. I love it. In this photo, you can see the railing above the bead board wall. I need ideas for decorating this room. Any suggestions? The walls are bare.

We also have a new floor. Oh, and see the clawfoot tub, another of my favorite new features.

I spent lots of time painting this tub. I scrapped, sanded, painted and then the paint bubbled. I had to do the process all over again. We brought the tub from the back porch into the kitchen. There it stayed for about 3-4 days while I worked on the tub. Emily was my faithful assistant on this project.

The mirror is a genuine craftsman found in a salvage store. I stripped it and repainted it. Paul made the cabinet in the wall. I still have painting to finish on the cabinet.
