I did a few projects over the summer. I have really neglected my blog and these projects kept me pretty busy while I was away.
One of my projects was my kitchen.
I love my kitchen but I haven't bonded with my red window frames. I liked the red but it just didn't blend with the counter top.
After 3 years of trying to make peace with red, and I am ready to try a more neutral color.
All my work is not quite done yet but here is a little of what I have completed.

Here is the before with red window frame and yellow bead board.

It took some good primer.

Lots of coats of white. I loved the color Moonlit Snow by Olympic for the white in the window frame. It contrasts well with what I used on the bead board. Its called Oyster Shell, also by Olmypic. I think it makes the bead board look more period appropriate. My house was built in 1910, making it 99 years old. I think the colors are more period appropriate and much easier on the eye.

I'll show the whole kitchen when its all done. For now, this is it. I can't wait to get it done, but we have a lot going on.
