Gunnar is out of NICU and onto a ped floor. Amy is gettin him settled into his new crib. 
He needs his premie sized diaper changed.
He is alert and wide awake. He doesn't complain about the NG tube which is still draining smaller amounts of bile. 
He is still feeding through his PICC line and he doesn't seem to mind all the leads attached to his tiny little chest and to his feet.
Amy swaddles him up and he really likes that. The next hurdle we are waiting for is poopy diaper. That will show his digestive tract is ready to be introduced to food. The doctor said he will start to look for that about 10 days post surgery. We have several days yet before we expect to see that.
Gunnar is a happy little fella and is such a joy to visit.

I know that most Mamas and Daddies don't usually await the poopers with such hopefulness, but I am praying for Gunnar to really 'mess up' those diapers for you all!
He is looking so good...have a wonderful weekend!
