A Birthday Weekend

It was Paul's birthday Saturday and we enjoyed a great weekend celebration.

We even had a sleep over with Gunnar :)

We walked around in a nearby town. We smiled when we saw this sign. Our Gunnar has a different last name, but we couldn't resist.

We took a little overnight trip. Paul travels and earned points that gave us a free overnight stay and because it was his birthday we got a free upgrade. Paul, being the one who plans, packed a healthy snack for us.

We had a jaquzzi. Notice the louvered doors? I wondered why a nice hotel would place doors that open into the living area above a bathtub?

Here are the doors open. Again, I wonder what were they thinking?

We really enjoyed our room anyway. It was a very large room.

We also had a nice dinner out.

I ordered a crab bisque and salad. They were so large I ate this delicious soup and couldn't eat the salad.

It was a very pretty salad.
