Veteran's Day

I would be remis not to mention what day it is today.

I am so glad my son is home now but there are many whose loved ones are not.

I want to salute all the men and women who have done their duty.

Thankful that our son is home.
I remember Thanksgiving a year ago when we went to St. Paul, Minnestoa to meet Cal and his buddy Spencer. We spent the holiday with Spencer's family who were very gracious to host us.
I don't think a Thanksgiving will ever pass that I don't spend time thanking God for this time we had to welcome Cal home. Not only had he completed his tour in Iraq, but he was finished with his duty to the Army.

A favorite smile. I took this picture as soon as the boys came through the long corridors after getting off the plane. We were so glad to see them and I think they were just as glad to be home.

There were Balls for the soldiers in Kentucky at their base, Ft. Campbell. They get to celebrate too.

Don't they look nice in uniform?

This is Cal on the Tigris River on a mission.

Their equipment weighs tons and the heat, oppressive!
