The New Office Space

I have been asked and I promised I would take pictures of the new office Paul has started in the lastest few months.  I happed to be in the office while Paul was working and managed to take a few pictures.  I have to admit, the pictures aren't great but you get the general idea.

The cute little bonsai tree came as a gift from Paul's family.  It is a perfect little plant for the space.

The building owner built had the walls added for us after Paul "designed" the layout of the office.  He and I and the girls painted the walls this nice warm greenish/blue color.  We had a lot of fun shopping for the small pieces of furniture we bought.  The screen to the left Paul found at a second hand store and I love it.  Behind the screen is the office front desk area.  It hides the desk from patients view while they sit in the chairs to the right.  The screen also hides the fax/printer/copier and a vacuum.

There are three spaces or rooms in the very small space.  The waiting room, which is the first picture at the top of the post, this room is an IV room.  These chairs came from our home and are covered with sheets.   Paul bought the sink with a cabinet and the builder installed it.

In trying to keep costs down we repurposed many items from home to funish the office.  The little tables throughout the office all came from home as well as the IV chairs.

There is a treatment room, which is where Paul also has his desk and uses the treatment room as his office.  Because this was a working day, a patient having a visit and I didn't see fit to barge in to snap a picture.  So there you have it.

This is the top of a secretary which we brought from home that we use as the front desk area.  I put these pictures of the kids up there.

Paul's private practice is starting to pick up and we are pleased with the way things are going.  We think the office space turned out nicely and its in a great location.  I'll get more pictures as time goes on and give you a better view of the space.  For now, you get an idea of what things look like and we are please with the look.

Paul continues to keep his regular job teaching at the local naturopathic school as well as the additional work teaching board reviews to graduating students and IV classes  to doctors throughout the country.  Yes, I have a hard working husband.  This new business venture keeps him out of trouble.

I have helped with the billing/credentialing end of the business which I do on my off hours from my full-time day job.  Emily is our front desk receptionist.
